Pilot Project Exception Policy for the Certified Sustainable Beef Framework
Certified Sustainable Beef Framework Canada has granted a temporary exception for all Certification Bodies (CBs) conducting remote auditing pilot projects.
The Standards and Requirements have not changed, but this exception gives CBs alternative ways of checking that these have been met.
Under the Certified Sustainable Beef Framework, certification would normally be conducted on-site by independent auditors. These auditors work for Certification Bodies approved by the CRSB.
This temporary exception allows for auditing to be conducted remotely, at the discretion of the Certification Body, only when required due to participation in a remote auditing pilot project.
This exception will remain in effect until December 31, 2022, or until withdrawn by the CRSB, at its discretion.
The CRSB will continue to monitor the situation and will communicate any further updates.
